Why a QR code works
Wedding guests won’t search for a link, install an app or remember to send you photos next week. What works is something right in front of them when their phone is already in hand: a small sign on the table with a QR code. One scan and they’re in.
The weak spot in most QR photo tools is what happens after the scan: one huge, unsorted album that nobody opens twice. With Momentli, the code is only the start. Face recognition sorts the photos and sends each guest what’s relevant to them.
How it works
- Create an event at app.momentli.co.il with your Google account and get a QR code and event link.
- Pick a sign. Use the AI-designed QR sign or download the code and add it to your own stationery.
- Print and place signs on tables, at the entrance and by the bar.
- Guests scan. The page opens in the browser. Guests who want their photos enter a name, phone number and selfie. They can also skip that step.
- Guests upload up to 20 photos at a time. Every photo passes automatic AI moderation.
- The morning after (around 07:00 Israel time), face recognition runs across all photos and every registered guest gets an SMS with a personal link.
Tips for a sign people actually scan
- One clear line beats a paragraph: “Scan, share your photos, and tomorrow we’ll send you every photo you’re in.”
- Tell them what they get. Guests scan far more when they know they’ll receive their own photos.
- Size it right. A code at least 5 cm (2 in) wide scans easily even in dim venue lighting.

After the wedding
The gallery is open to anyone with the event link, with filters for all photos, my uploads and “find me”. Guests can download a ZIP of their matched photos, and you can download the whole event. Note that the gallery is shared: “find me” is a filter, not a private album.
Two honest limits: Momentli handles photos only for now, and the interface is currently in Hebrew (English is coming soon).
A plain QR code vs one with face recognition
You can point a QR code at a shared Google Drive folder or album, and it works. But some services require an account or app to upload, there’s no moderation, and you end up with one big unsorted pile. With Momentli, the code opens an upload page in the browser with no account, every photo is moderated, and face recognition sorts everything so each guest gets their own photos.
Who it’s for
