The most photographed night of the wedding week
Colorful outfits, henna trays, music and dancing until late. Whether you call it a henna, a hina or a mehndi night, every guest has a phone out, and the result is hundreds of beautiful photos scattered across aunts’, cousins’ and friends’ phones. Most never reach you, and guests rarely see the photos others took of them.
Momentli collects every henna night photo in one gallery, and face recognition sends each guest the photos they appear in.
How it works
- Create an event at app.momentli.co.il with Google: name, date and an optional cover image. You get a QR code and a link.
- Invite the organizers. If a parent or future in-law is running the henna, invite them by email as editors.
- Print QR signs (AI-designed or your own) and put them on tables and at the entrance.
- Guests scan and land in the browser. Those who want their photos enter name, phone and a selfie; others can skip.
- Guests upload up to 20 photos at a time, with automatic AI moderation on every image.
- The morning after (around 07:00 Israel time), face recognition runs across all photos and each registered guest gets an SMS with a personal “photos of me” link.
Henna and wedding: two events, two galleries
The henna usually takes place a few days before the wedding. Create a separate Momentli event for each: every event gets its own gallery, texts go out the morning after each one, and the photos stay organized. Many families pick a smaller plan for the more intimate henna and a bigger one for the wedding. Here’s how it works at the wedding.
Good to know
- Photos only, no video for now.
- The gallery is shared with anyone who has the link. “Find me” filters to each guest’s matched photos.
- Texts arrive the morning after, not during the evening.
- Hebrew interface. The guest app is currently in Hebrew; English is coming soon.
- Automatic deletion of photos and face data at the end of the storage period.
Tips for a well-photographed henna
- Put a QR sign by the outfits and the henna tray. Those are the moments everyone shoots.
- Ask the band or MC to mention the code after the couple’s entrance.
- Share the link in the family group chat afterwards, since uploads stay open until 06:00 the next morning.
Who it’s for
- Brides, grooms and families who want every moment from the henna, not just what landed in a group chat
- Big families where every aunt has 200 photos on her phone
- Hosts who need something simple enough for older guests, with nothing to install
Guests can delete their own uploads at any time, and every upload is checked by automatic moderation before it reaches the gallery.
