The problem: thousands of photos, and nobody can find themselves
At every wedding, guests take hundreds or thousands of photos. Some land in a group chat, compressed. Most never leave the phone they were taken on. Even when everything ends up in one shared album, no guest is going to scroll through 1,500 pictures looking for the three they’re in.
Momentli collects every guest photo in one place and then lets face recognition do the sorting, so each guest gets the photos they actually appear in.
How it works
- Create your event. Sign in with Google at app.momentli.co.il, add your event name, date and an optional cover image, and you get a QR code and a link.
- Print your signs. Use the AI-designed QR sign or make your own, and put it on tables and at the entrance. Our guide to QR codes for wedding photos has placement and wording tips.
- Add co-managers. Invite parents or your planner by email as editors.
- Guests scan and (optionally) register. The link opens in the browser. Guests can enter their name, phone number and a front-camera selfie, or skip that step and still upload and browse.
- Guests upload. Up to 20 photos per batch, compressed in the browser so it works on weak venue Wi-Fi. Every photo passes automatic AI moderation, and inappropriate images are rejected.
- The morning after. Uploads close at 06:00. Around 07:00 Israel time, face recognition indexes all photos, matches them to each guest’s selfie and sends an SMS with a personal “photos of me” link.
What guests get
The event gallery is open to anyone with the link, with three filters: all photos, my uploads, and “find me”. Guests can delete their own uploads, download single photos, or grab a ZIP of every photo they were matched to. As the host, you can download everything.
A few things to know before you pick us: Momentli is photos only for now, the text message goes out the morning after (not live during the party), and the interface is currently in Hebrew, with English coming soon.
Privacy by design
Face matching runs on Amazon Rekognition in the Tel Aviv region (il-central-1). Each event has its own separate face collection, and it’s deleted together with the event at the end of the storage period. Read more in Is face recognition at weddings safe? and in how wedding face recognition works.
