For guests
Do guests need to download an app or sign up?
No. Guests scan the QR code with their phone camera and the page opens right in the browser. No app to download, no password to remember.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Momentli works on any smartphone with a browser — iPhone, Android and desktop too.
What if a guest doesn't want to take a selfie?
No problem — the selfie is completely optional. Guests who skip it can still upload and browse the gallery; they just won't get a text with the photos they appear in.
Is the guest page available in English?
The guest experience is currently in Hebrew, with English coming soon. It's designed to be visual and simple, so most guests find their way easily.
Face recognition
How does face recognition work?
Guests who leave a selfie get a digital face signature. After the event, Momentli scans every photo from the event, finds the ones each guest appears in, and texts them a personal link the next morning.
How accurate is it?
We use Amazon Web Services face recognition, which handles angles, lighting and glasses well. Blurry, dark or partly covered faces may not be matched — which is why every photo is always available in the full gallery too.
Is face data safe? When is it deleted?
Face data is stored in a separate collection per event on AWS in the Tel Aviv region, used only to match photos within that event, and permanently deleted when the storage period ends. It's never sold or used for advertising or AI training. Guests can request deletion at any time.
Who can see the photos?
Anyone with the event link can view the gallery. Each guest can filter to the photos they're in and delete photos they uploaded themselves. You, the hosts, manage everything.
Photos
Can we download all the photos?
Yes. Hosts can download every photo in a single ZIP file, and each guest can download their own photos.
Can guests upload videos?
Momentli currently supports photos only. Video support is on our roadmap.
What about inappropriate photos?
Every photo is checked automatically when it's uploaded, and inappropriate images are blocked. You can also delete any photo from the gallery.
Can we add our photographer's photos?
Yes. You can upload photos to your event just like guests do, and they'll be included in the gallery and face matching.
Planning
When do uploads close, and when do guests get their text?
Guests can upload throughout the event and until 6:00 AM the next morning (Israel time). Around 7:00 AM, guests receive a text with the link to their photos.
Can we set it up months in advance?
Absolutely. We recommend setting up early, printing your signs and even adding the QR code to your invitations.
Can parents or our planner help manage the event?
Yes. You can invite additional managers to your event by email.

Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once per event, based on the plan you choose. No recurring charges.
How long are photos stored?
3 months on Basic, 6 months on Popular and 1 year on Premium. We recommend downloading everything as a ZIP before the period ends.
What happens if we exceed the photo or guest limit?
New uploads pause once you reach the limit. You can upgrade your plan at any time — just contact us.
